BOXING COACH FOR MMA FIGHTERS IN HUNTINGTON BEACH

Coach Al Franco provides boxing-based striking development for MMA fighters at his primary Huntington Beach training location and at select approved locations throughout Orange County. Training focuses on sharper hands, better footwork, stronger defense, cleaner entries and exits, improved positioning, and controlled pressure.

TECHNICAL BOXING DEVELOPMENT FOR MMA FIGHTERS

Coach Al teaches the boxing side of MMA: stance, balance, footwork, defense, punch mechanics, timing, range control, positioning, and controlled offensive and defensive movement.

This is not full MMA coaching. Coach Al does not teach wrestling, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, cage work, knees, elbows, or complete fight strategy. MMA athletes should continue working with their MMA coach to integrate the boxing into their complete fight program.

Boxing-Based Training for MMA Fighters

MMA fighters often struggle with their hands because they must manage several threats at once. Stance, distance, pressure, takedown awareness, and defensive responsibilities differ from traditional boxing.

Coach Al helps MMA fighters clean up the boxing side of their game by teaching proper mechanics, balance, movement, defense, and punch delivery. The goal is not flashy pad work. The goal is to help the fighter become harder to hit, better positioned, more efficient with their hands, and more comfortable under boxing pressure.

This training is boxing only, taught in a way that can be taken back to the fighter’s MMA coach and added into their complete fight program.

Boxing That Supports MMA

Coach Al focuses first on building the fighter’s boxing foundation: stance, balance, linear and lateral movement, defense, timing, punch placement, range control, and positioning under pressure.

Once those mechanics are developed, the fighter’s MMA coach can integrate them with takedown defense, cage work, kicks, knees, elbows, clinch work, and complete fight strategy.

Coach Al’s role is to improve the boxing. The MMA coach’s role is to connect that boxing to the complete MMA game.
