MEN'S BOXING SKILLS & COMPETITION TRAINING IN UPLAND, CA

TRAIN LIKE A FIGHTER. COMPETITION OPTIONAL. SPARRING REQUIRED.

Coach Al Franco's Men's Boxing Skills Training is a structured, small-group boxing program for men 18 and older who want to learn real boxing, develop proper fundamentals, and train with the discipline, intensity, and expectations of a competitive boxer.

This program welcomes serious beginners, former amateur boxers looking to return to the sport, men who always wanted to box but never had the opportunity, law enforcement officers preparing for events such as Battle of the Badges, and adults 35 and older interested in competing in the Masters Division of amateur boxing.

Whether you intend to compete or simply want to experience what it takes to train like a fighter, everyone trains under the same standards.

COMPLETE ENROLLMENT WAIVER

THIS IS NOT A FITNESS BOXING CLASS

Training emphasizes defense, footwork, timing, distance control, conditioning, boxing IQ, technical development, and sparring.

Every participant will be expected to work hard, remain disciplined, follow instruction, accept correction, and give their best effort during every training session.

Sparring is mandatory. Participants will begin with light, controlled, technical sparring when Coach Al determines they are ready. As their skills, control, conditioning, and defensive abilities develop, they will progressively advance toward full-contact sparring under appropriate supervision and safety requirements.

Competition is not required. However, anyone unwilling to participate in sparring should not enroll in this program.

COMMITMENT, ACCOUNTABILITY & TEAM WORK

You don't have to compete, but you will be expected to train like someone who does.

This program requires more than simply showing up.

Every man is expected to bring a serious attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to improving.

Participants must also recognize that boxing training requires teamwork, trust, and responsibility to the people around them.

Being a valuable training partner is just as important as individual development. Every participant must contribute to a productive environment, help those around him improve, and demonstrate control, respect, and discipline.

Lack of effort, repeated failure to follow instruction, unsafe conduct, poor sportsmanship, or unwillingness to meet program expectations may result in removal from the program at Coach Al's discretion.

If you're unwilling to work hard, accept correction, spar, or contribute positively to the men training beside you, this program is not for you.

"I am not simply teaching men to box. I am building a team in which every man is expected to improve himself and contribute to the development of the man next to him."

SMALL GROUP. SERIOUS TRAINING

Enrollment is intentionally limited to provide individual attention, technical correction, and structured development.

The program will initially meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00–6:30 AM, with a maximum of 10 participants.

A second group will eventually be introduced on Mondays and Wednesdays, also limited to 10 participants.

Once both groups have developed the technical ability, conditioning, control, and discipline required to train together, they will be combined into one four-day-per-week program meeting Monday through Thursday.

This progression will be determined by Coach Al based on the development and readiness of the participants.

THE STANDARD IS THE SAME FOR EVERYONE

You may be a beginner, a former boxer, a police officer preparing for competition, or a man who has always wanted to step into the ring.

Your background doesn't matter as much as your willingness to learn, work, and commit.

You are not required to become a competitive boxer. You are required to train with the commitment of one.
