Men's Boxing Training Upland CA — Small Group. More Coaching.

Coach Al Franco is launching a limited-enrollment Men’s Boxing Skills Training program at Warzone Boxing Club in Upland for adult men who want to learn boxing the way competitive fighters train.
Unlike a large group fitness class, this program is intentionally capped to create a semi-private training environment where each boxer receives hands-on instruction, technical correction and individual development while still training with partners and as part of a team.
"Our men's boxing training Upland CA program is intentionally limited to 10 men per group, giving each boxer more direct coaching, technical correction and individual attention"
Men’s Boxing Training Upland CA — Small Group. More Coaching.
The program begins October 20 and will initially meet Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM.
This is not cardio boxing.
This is a structured adult fight-training program designed to develop real boxers.
Those with a poor work ethic may be removed from program.
Small Group. More Coaching.
The first group will be limited to only 10 men.
Keeping the group small allows Coach Al to watch how each boxer moves, identify weaknesses, correct technique and adjust training based on each athlete’s development.
Members will train together, work with partners and eventually spar, but the smaller group allows for considerably more individual attention than a typical boxing class.
The goal is simple:
Combine the intensity and realism of fighter training with the attention of semi-private coaching.
Competition Is Optional. Fighter Training Is Not.
Not every man who wants to train like a fighter wants to compete.
That is completely fine.
Amateur competition is optional.
However, the training itself will follow the standards and progression used to develop competitive boxers.
Members should expect conditioning, technical drills, defense, partner work, controlled contact and eventually hard sparring.
Some members may eventually choose to compete and can do so from this program.
Others may never enter a sanctioned bout.
Both are welcome.
But everyone in the program will train with the expectation of becoming capable of applying their boxing skills against another trained boxer.
You Do Not Need Previous Boxing Experience
You do not need to already know how to fight before joining.
The Men’s Boxing Skills program is open to:
Complete beginners
Developing boxers
Experienced boxers
Athletes interested in eventually competing
Adults who simply want to train at a serious level
What matters more than experience is your willingness to learn, train consistently, accept coaching and put in the work.
Beginners will start with stance, balance, movement, defense and proper punching mechanics.
As skills improve, members will progress into more advanced technical work, partner drills, counterpunching, range control, boxing IQ and sparring.
Sparring Is Part of Learning to Box
You cannot fully learn boxing without eventually working against another boxer.
For that reason, sparring will become a required part of the training progression.
Newer boxers will not be thrown directly into hard sparring.
They will first develop fundamentals, defensive responsibility, conditioning, partner skills and control.
When Coach Al determines a boxer is ready, the athlete will begin with controlled technical sparring and gradually progress from there.
As the program develops, certain training days will be added and dedicated primarily to sparring.
Those sessions will give members the opportunity to apply what they have learned under pressure and develop:
Timing
Defense
Distance
Ring awareness
Composure
Conditioning
Decision-making
Confidence under pressure
The purpose of sparring is development — not gym wars.
What You Will Learn
Training will include:
Stance, balance and footwork
Punching mechanics and combinations
Defense and counterpunching
Range and distance control
Partner drills
Fighter conditioning
Boxing IQ and ring awareness
Controlled sparring
Dedicated sparring sessions
Competition preparation for members who choose to compete
The objective is not simply to give you a difficult workout.
The objective is to develop you into a complete boxer.

Built for Adults With Real Schedules
Traditional competitive boxing programs often require several hours of training in the afternoon or evening.
That can be difficult for adults with careers, businesses and families.
This program was created to give serious adults another option.
You can receive legitimate fighter-style training early in the morning and still get on with your workday.

It is for adults who want to understand defense, movement, timing, distance, conditioning, pressure and what it actually feels like to develop as a boxer.
